January 18, 2019 was the date when Salesforce announced plans to build Salesforce Tower Dublin. It’s going to be a new office campus for the tech giant, situated at the heart of Ireland’s capital city. Aside from expanding their reach in Europe, Salesforce’s goal in creating this new hub is to employ thousands of Irish people.
Reaching More People in Europe
Salesforce sees Europe as a promising ground for expansion projects. The interest in cloud computing technologies and CRMs are booming in the continent, making it a prime time for Salesforce to expand their reach and build a larger base of operations here.
Salesforce currently employs around 1,400 people in their current Irish office. But they have plans on hiring 1,500 new staff when the Salesforce Tower Dublin commences its operations. Hiring will likely be continuous over the next five years.
Salesforce is now actively recruiting Irish staff to fill in positions for the following functions:
- Customer Support
- Business Services
Providing jobs to more people in Ireland is among the main goals of Salesforce. These new employees will be able to help expand the operations of the company in Europe. They will also be given the chance to work for an amazing tech company with a reputation of Great Place to Work from Fortune Magazine, an honor bestowed to Salesforce for three years in a row.
Moving to a New and Better Home
The tech giant already has headquarters in Ireland. The company’s current headquarters are split into two buildings in Sandyford, Dublin. The proposed Salesforce Tower Dublin will be a lot larger than this existing office, with four interconnected buildings and an eight-storey 430,000 square ft. campus at Spencer Dock, Dublin.
The tower will include the following key areas:
- An Ohana Floor to be used by employees, customers, and partners. This floor will also be open for local community groups and nonprofits for free use on weeknights and weekends.
- Immersive video lobby experiences
- Riverside paths that will connect Salesforce campus to Dublin’s cultural city hubs
Summing It Up
Salesforce Tower Dublin is an ongoing expansion project of the tech giant in Ireland. It will house more employees than the current headquarters and will feature exciting amenities and facilities. As part of their European expansion, Salesforce will hire additional 1,500 people to fill in new positions in the Dublin tower. All these are parts of Salesforce’s continuous efforts to reach out to European customers as much as they can.
